How is ProFinanceCast different from Mint, Monarch, or YNAB?
Those tools track what already happened. ProFinanceCast forecasts what's coming next — debts paid off, net worth in ten years, salary scenarios layered into your finances. Forecasting is free here; every direct rival paywalls it.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. We never ask for bank credentials. You enter your numbers manually or import a CSV. That's the whole privacy model.
Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes. Free is permanent, not a trial. Dashboard, forecast, debt optimizer, recurring planner, net worth tracker, and 10 Sage AI messages per month — no card required.
What's included in Pro vs Free?
Pro adds multi-scenario layering, salary scenario comparisons (multiple offers side by side), a quarterly Report Card, unlimited net-worth history, and 200 Sage messages per month. $9/month or $69/year.
How does cancellation work? Will I lose access immediately?
You keep Pro until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. Cancel today, your access stays active until the period ends — then it switches to Free automatically. No surprises.
Where is my data stored?
Most of your data lives in your browser by default. If you sign in, account-level metadata (your email, plan, preferences) is stored encrypted on Supabase in the EU. Financial figures stay client-side unless you opt into account sync.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Settings → Data → Export gives you CSV (financial entries) or JSON (everything). The 12-month forecast can be saved as PDF via your browser's print dialog.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Data → Delete account. We ask you to retype your email to confirm, then delete everything. If you have an active Pro subscription, it cancels at the end of the period you've paid for.
What's Sage AI and what is it good for?
Sage is the in-app assistant that explains why a forecast moved — not just what changed. Ask it "why is my debt-free date later this month?" and it traces the cause. Free plan: 10 messages/month; Pro: 200/month.
Can two people share one account (households or couples)?
Not yet. A household tier with shared dashboards is on the roadmap. Today, each ProFinanceCast account is single-user.
